Non-contact discharge measurement opens new possibilities for use in process and waste water
Launching its new SQ flow meter series SOMMER Messtechnik breaks new ground. Discharge monitoring in the fields of wastewater and industrial effluents has just become much easier as the new flow meter captures continuously and contact-free the flow rate of sewer systems, shafts, ducts, semi-filled pipes and other technical channels.
Meet us at the IFAT, the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management - the fair that can be considered as a real highlight every year. SOMMER Messtechnik participates as exhibitor at the IFAT 2016 in Munich. In hall 5 at booth no. 126 we will present our products and latest innovations in the fields of discharge measurement technology for water and wastewater.
A new generation of SOMMER data loggers conquers the market. It begins with the compact and handy MRL-6.
Easy, convenient and quick. These are the preconditions for SOMMER to launch a new and low priced data logger for collecting, processing and storing of various measurement data. The new data logger MRL-6 works very reliably and extremely energy-saving. Moreover and due to its weatherproof housing the MRL-6 is most suitable for data recording in the fields of environmental measurement technology and in remote areas without any infrastructure.

The Automatic Weather Station at our company in Koblach illustrates the way our installations are deployed and how the data are displayed online via the SOMMER measurement data server MDS. The MDS generates customised graphs out of the actual values monitored. The graphs can be formatted according to individual needs (width, height, scaling, colour, time series, value limits etc.) and implemented very easily to an existing website.
The transmission of the data measured is realised via internet connection (TCP/IP) between the weather station and the MDS-server. After logging in to the MDS-server the user is able to choose from various possibilities of graphical illustrations. The full information about the weather station at SOMMER Messtechnik are also available via a demo access to the MDS.
As an optional feature SOMMER can also offer a solution to integrate a weather forecast with the measured data of the MDS. In order to do so we use the forecasted data of your local station from a weather forecast service. The line graphs are then prolonged until the end of the prognosis period, like for example with our SOMMER weather station below. The prognosis period here is 72 hours. The blue line represents the actually measured data, the red one the forecasted data.
