Non-contact discharge measurement by means of radar technology for open rivers

The RQ-30+is a sensor for continuous discharge measurement of rivers, open channels and canals with known cross-section profile. The sensor uses innovative radar technology to measure velocity, water level and discharge. It enables reliable, non-contact measurement without the need for structural work in the water.

Well proven RQ-30 discharge measurement with data logger and data transmission in compact housing

RQ-30 ADMS the perfect solution for reliable high accuracy non-contact discharge measurement.

One devise, simple installation, autonomous operation, your solution for exact discharge measurement using certified high-end SOMMER sensors.

HSR-10

Portable and handheld non-contact radar for mobile and spontaneous surface velocity measurements

Discharge measurement for wide rivers with inhomogeneous distribution of flow velocity

With the system of one master-radar sensor and several slave-radar sensors the velocity is measured at several spots throughout the whole water cross-section. Therefore a very high accuracy of the discharge measurement is guaranteed also for very wide water bodies.

Discharge measurement for open rivers with external water level data

Innovative radar sensor for non-contact discharge measurement of rivers, open channels and canals with the possibility to use and integrate external water level data.

Mobile measuring system for non-contact discharge measurement

With the mobile measuring device RP-30 (Radar Profiler) a surface velocity profile from rivers and channels is created and together with the data of the river cross-section and water level the discharge is determined. - A very helpful measuring device especially for the use in flood conditions.

Radar sensor for contact-free velocity measurement

The flow velocity sensor RG-30+ has been designed for contact-free, continuous measurement of the surface flow velocity of rivers and open channels by means of radar technology.

Contact-free water level measurement

The RL-35 is a highly accurate measuring device to measure the surface water level without direct contact to the medium.

Contact-free water level measurement

The SOMLEVEL-8 / 15 / 30 is a highly accurate measuring device to measure the surface water level without direct contact to the medium.

PTM pressure probe

The PTM is a rugged and highly accurate sensor to measure water level in a variety of applications.

Turbidity probe - NTU

The measurement principle of the SOMQUALITY-NTU turbidity sensor is based on infrared light scatter at an angle of 90°.

Software for mobile discharge measurement using - salt tracer or fluorescence tracer

The new software for SOMMER TQ-Tracers, TQ-COMMANDER 3.0 sets a new standard in doing tracer delution measurements.
Featuring a new and fresh state of the art design, ease of use and customer friendliness was a clear target through the development process.
There are a lot of new and improved features in the new TQ-COMMANDER 3.0. As an example Applicators will be guided step by step through the measurement process with immediate check of each step.

Mobile discharge measurement system for turbulent rivers with unknown cross-section profile - salt tracer

The discharge measurement is performed by using the well-established tracer-dilution method. The system can be deployed in turbulent rivers, creeks or waters for which data regarding the cross-section profile are not available or unknown. It is used salt (NaCl) as tracer material. After insertion of a known amount of tracer material two conductivity probes automatically determine the discharge. This way high plausibility and accurate results can be guaranteed.

Mobile discharge measurement system for turbulent rivers with unknown cross-section profile - fluorescence tracer

The discharge measurement is performed by using the well-established tracer-dilution method and is especially suitable for high volumes of water. The system can be deployed in turbulent rivers, creeks or waters for which data regarding the cross-section profile are not available or unknown. It is used a fluorescent material as tracer. After insertion of a known amount of tracer material two optical fluorescence probes automatically determine the discharge. This way high plausibility and accurate results can be guaranteed.
