Next generation of the SOMMER data loggers for hydrology and meteorology

Easy, convenient and quick. These are the preconditions for SOMMER to launch a new and low priced data logger for collecting, processing and storing various measurement data. The new data logger MRL-6 works very reliably and energy-saving in extreme environments. Moreover and due to its waterproof housing the MRL-6 is most suitable for data recording in the fields of environmental measurement technology and in remote areas without any infrastructure.

SOMMER Messtechnik expands management board

Since the beginning of the year Christoph Sommer (32) strengthens the management at SOMMER Messtechnik as additional CEO. Together with his father and company founder Wolfram Sommer the CEO-duo guarantees continuity and independency as a successful family enterprise in developing and producing highly innovative environmental measurement technology.

Christoph Sommer studied computer science at the Fachhochschule Vorarlberg and Management, Communication and IT at the Management Center Innsbruck, both universities of applied sciences in Austria, before he started at SOMMER Messtechnik in 2010. Since then he was responsible for the IT infrastructure and the quality management. Earlier this year he was nominated as CEO and is now also in charge of the production department and therefore accountable for the manufacturing of the sensors and components made by SOMMER Messtechnik.
